We provide horse owners and caregivers with expert service and support in the areas of Equine Reproduction, Internal Medicine, minor Surgery, Dentistry and Preventive Health. Maria has a great network of specialist (national and internationally) in all the fields, working together to get the best results and services for your horse.
GSH has a fully equipped vehicle to visit your property. We offer routine services at your property and Annual Health packages that include a Consultation, Dentistry (with sedation), faecal egg count with deworming when needed, annual vaccinations and Laboratory testing available.
Unfortunately at the moment we are unable to offer emergency after hours and weekends calls (however we will try the best to attend them all as a priority during our working hours and beyond whenever possible.)

Digital Radiography
High quality diagnostic x-rays available, we can provide instant images at the time of your consultation. Completely wireless and battery operated unit makes it ideal for use around horses in the field.
Complicated cases will be discussed with a Specialist when required.
Diagnostic Ultrasound with Doppler.
A very important tool, can be used in many different situations: breeding, placental and fetal health, assessing tendon or ligament damage, pelvic fractures, lung or umbilicus infections, colic assessments, neck or back, wounds. Ultrasound guided injections.
Breeding services
Advice and assistance with artificial insemination using fresh, chilled and frozen semen. We offer Artificial insemination packages.
Mare fertility evaluations. Placental monitoring, foetal sexing. High risk mare management focusing on early diagnosis and effective treatment of placental inflammation (placentitis).
Foaling assistance.
Digital Radiography
High quality diagnostic x-rays available. Complicated cases will be discussed with a Specialist when required.

Equine Dentistry
Oral and dental health can have a significant impact on a horse's wellbeing, performance and lifespan. Dental health evaluations and performance floating provided.
Routine dentistry (including sedation) to make a calm and smooth experience for your horse. Oroscope exams and dental X-rays available. Referrals for complicated cases.
Pre Purchase Examinations
Available for all equestrian disciplines. Following internationally accredited British Equine Veterinary Association proforma to perform either a 2 stage or 5 stage exam. Either way we will be down to your individual requirements and budget to help you decide whether you want to proceed with the purchase. Will provide a comprehensive confidential report within 24 hours and can perform drug testing at your discretion if needed.
Gastroscopy
Involving insertion of a flexible video endoscope to allow direct examination of the lining of the stomach, most commonly used to diagnose ulcers but also diagnose unknown causes of weight loss, tumours and impactions. We offer daily gastroscopy exams.
Equine Ophthalmology
Eye injuries and infections can be common in horses. Can include traumatic injury to the globe, corneal ulcers or foreign bodies in the eye and under the lids. Prompt treatment is required in most cases for a good outcome. Give us a call if you are concerned.
Laboratory Services
When immediate diagnosis is not possible, we need further testing including blood test, skin or faecal analysis (amongst other) to help us ascertain the problem. Many of them can be performed in house within a few hours, if we require additional ones we will courier samples to a specialist lab.
Embryo Transfer.
Embryo transfer is an advanced reproductive option that allows high-performance mares to continue their competition schedules or aids mares with difficulty carrying to term.
Allows for more than one foal per mare per year.
